What does NASA stand for?

NASA stands for National Aeronautics and Space Administration

NASA has been around for a long time chewing up hard earned American tax dollars, and while I am sure some of the money was wasted, all in all it has been productive adventure. NASA was established on July 29, 1958, by the National Aeronautics and Space Act which does not mean a darn thing to most people, but rest assured it has some clause in it that makes something else illegal.
