How many Stitches does a Baseball have?

Baseball Stitches There are 108 double stitches on a baseball, but the first and last stitch are hidden below the leather. Since they are double stitches some people consider this 216 individual stitches. Each ball is sewn by hand, using 88 inches of waxed red thread.
